Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Custom Wine Cellar, Custom Fabrication
This project involved the transformation of a 3,000-square-foot loft in Denver’s vibrant LoHi neighborhood into a warm and sophisticated sanctuary. The client’s preference for a cozy yet elegant style informed every aspect of the redesign. The new interior architecture balances timelessness with durability and a commitment to high-quality materials and finishes, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic longevity.
A unifying design language was established to seamlessly connect the open-plan layout while preserving the modern, airy nature of the space. Custom cabinetry, thoughtfully integrated lighting, and meticulously selected natural materials harmonize to create a space that feels both curated and deeply personal. While the aesthetic remains rooted in modernity, subtle nods to the client’s personality are evident throughout, from bespoke built-ins to tailored furnishings. The result is a residence that not only reflects the client’s lifestyle but also elevates the concept of urban living with an enduring sense of elegance and warmth.
One of the exciting highlights of the project was the design and integration of a custom wine cellar, tailored to accommodate up to 300 bottles, including wine, champagne, and magnums. This climate-controlled space blends functionality with a sleek, modern aesthetic, creating a showcase-worthy environment for the client’s collection.
The walls are clad in a rich wood veneer, providing warmth and texture, while the back wall features a striking Chemetal Alu Dark metallic surface, adding depth and a touch of contemporary luxury. A lower shelf, designed specifically for wine cases, enhances the practicality of the space. Brushed nickel-finished steel pin holders elegantly display individual bottles, balancing visual appeal with easy accessibility.
The centerpiece of the cellar is a Nueva orb moon pendant, which casts a soft, atmospheric glow and serves as a focal point, suspended from the ceiling and perfectly centered in the space. Framing the design are custom glass doors with brushed steel handles, lending a sophisticated transparency that invites admiration of the collection while maintaining the cellar’s controlled environment.
This custom wine cellar is more than just storage—it’s a refined space that celebrates the art of wine collecting, combining thoughtful design elements with precision engineering to elevate the client’s experience and lifestyle.
The other elements of the design included new window openings and installations, allowing more natural light to flood the space, as well as sliding doors that provided modern transitions between areas. Updates to the master bedroom were tailored to create a serene, functional environment. A standout feature of the master bath transformation was the inclusion of Electric Mirror Silhouette lighted mirrors, featuring diamond-clear glass, dimmable ballasts, and sleek side covers for a refined, luxurious touch. Together, these updates brought new life to the loft, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with contemporary functionality. This renovation was thoughtfully phased and completed over two years in collaboration with delightful clients.
